The University of Nairobi has once again retained the pole position in East and Central Africa in the latest university rankings. The university has also been ranked among the best in Africa and the world.
The university was placed 11th in Africa and in the 501-600 category globally.

The University of Nairobi will commence a new academic year on Monday, September 20, 2021. Applicants who received a formal letter of offer to join the University this academic year 2021/2022 are required to complete the registration process online.

The University Annual Sports Day was on Friday 18th June 2021 University Sports Ground. The theme of this year’s annual Sports Day “Staying safe and healthy through Sports.”
The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences held a recognition ceremony on Thursday June 17th 2021 to celebrate and award outstanding achievers. The event is part of a series of activities the College has implemented to celebrate the University of Nairobi’s 50th anniversary (#UoNat50 campaign)
The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS) joined the international community in observing the World Environment Day that is marked globally every year on June 5th. To mark the day, CAVS, in liaison with like-minded stakeholders planted 200 tree seedlings at the College Dam, off Lower Kabete Road.
