A delegation from SDZWA, an organisation based in California and which has conservation programs in Kenya made a coursey call to the FVM on Tuesday October 21, 2025.
The delegation was led by Dr Hendrik Nollens (Vice President of Wildlife Health, SDZWA) and Dr. Stephen Chege, Director SDZWA-Kenya
The goal of the visit was to seek areas of partnership with the Vet school and capacity building to advance wildlife Health in Kenya.
During the visit, the following areas were discussed:

SDZWA work in Kenya and partners over the last two decades

New wildlife health initiatives - laboratory capacity

Capacity building

Partnership implementation framework (MOU or Framework Of Collaboration)
It was agreed that both FVM and SDZWA could explore collaboration in the following areas; clinical work, diagnostics and wildlife health research, wildlife pathology, parasitology, clinical pathology, epidemiology and in emerging trends in Veterinary medicine and Wildlife management & conservation.
