The Office of Career Services in partnership with the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi (CIUON) have partnered to host the 2024 UoN Career/Job Fair and Expo from on 22nd to 24th May, 2024, 9:00am to 4pm. The venue for the Fair is the Hyslop Parking & Taifa Hall, University of Nairobi Main Campus. The opening ceremony will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Taifa Hall, and different companies’ booths will be at the Hyslop Parking.
In order to help various enterprises fill job vacancies and provide employment opportunities to students, Prospective employers and employees will gather from Wednesday to Friday, 22nd to 24th May 2024,
Internship posts will also be available during this year’s Job Fair. Students of all faculties from year 1 to 4 are invited. Ability to speak Chinese is NOT a must. Jobs available include: Sales and Marketing Executives, Lawyers, Interpreters & Translators, Engineers, Administrative Staff, HR Professionals, IT Specialists, Project Management Consultants, Laboratory Technicians, Accountants, Clerks, Logistic Personnel, Quantity Surveyors, Machine Operators, E-commerce Operations Coordinator, Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance Professionals, Business Managers, Warehouse Data Analysts and Maintenance Technicians etc.
There will be more than 50 companies participating in the Career Fair.
This is an opportunity for the students to interact with Industry Partners and secure a job/ Attachment or Career Development Opportunity.
The main objective of the Career Fair is to prepare students for their next step in their careers: going into the job market, starting their own enterprises or joining an institution of higher learning. The Career Fair is aimed at helping students navigate existing and emerging careers in the 21st century.
Our Career Fair this year will be structured as follows:
Exhibitions at the Hyslop Parking from May 22 – 24, 2024 from 9.00am - 4.00pm
Panel Discussions in Taifa Hall on Wednesday May 22 and Thursday May 23 from 10.00am to 12.30pm.
The main topic for the Panel Discussions will be ‘Future Ready: Navigating Careers in the 21st Century’.
