The USAID One Health Workforce - Next Generation (OHW-NG) project, in collaboration with AFROHUN Kenya, invites post-graduate students to the One Health Demonstration site 2021 at the MPALA research center

DEMONSTRATION SITE
The One Health Demo Site Field Attachment is a multidisciplinary, field experiential training in community engagement. As part of the program, successful applicants will attend a field attachment from the 23rd -27th August 2021, which will involve site visits, assessment of infectious disease threats, community education, awareness campaigns, home visits, etc in surrounding areas within the MPALA research centre.The students will thereafter be required to write publishable manuscripts.
Funding & Support
Funding for the event has been made available through the One Health Workforce – Next Generation Project, funded and supported by the USAID.
Target participants
The applicants targeted are current University of Nairobi ,Moi University and Maasai Mara University postgraduate students. Interested applicants should have a great potential for leadership, ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and a vested interest in advancing the emerging field of One Health.
Participants are highly encouraged to have taken a COVID 19 vaccine or be willing to take COVID 19 test 72 hrs. before commencement of the field attachment.
Who should apply?
- Current Postgraduate students form One Health Institutions ( University of Nairobi, Moi University & Maasai Mara University) in Kenya.
- The fields of Social Sciences, Public Health, Mass Communication, IT,Veterinary, Nursing, Law, Human Medicine, Human Nutrition,Agriculture, Environment, Business, Laboratory Sciences, psychology Education, Performing Arts, Law, and other Health Sciences.
- Fluent in English communication (listening, speaking, writing, and understanding).
- Fully available for the field activities from 23rd -27th August 2021.
- Should have fulltime access to a laptop or a smart phone.
Application Procedure
