KENYA VETERINARY ASSOCIATION SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE 2024

The Faculty of Vet.Med was privileged to attend the 58th Annual Scientific conference in Isiolo County from 24th to 28th April 2024.

The conference was attended by the Associate Dean, Projects and Attachments Coordinator and the Senior Administrative Assistant.

The faculty was able to participate in the field day activities such as vaccination and deworming of livestock.

COLLECTION OF CERTIFICATES: 70TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

All Graduates of the 70th Congregation for the conferment of Degrees and award of Diplomas held on December 15, 2023 are requested to collect their certificates from the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus starting from Wednesday, 17th January 2024 to Friday, 9th February, 2024

NEW MR & MISS UON CROWNED

Quinter Awino and Hammerton Sila have been crowned as the  Mr and Miss UoN for the academic year 2023/2024. This prestigious title was bestowed upon them during an elegant event hosted at the renowned Bomas of Kenya on the night of December 1, 2023. Beyond being a conventional pageantry competition, the event served as a dynamic platform for students, particularly Quinter and Hammerton, to showcase not only their physical charm but also their diverse talents and abilities.

WEBINAR TO COMMEMORATE WORLD AIDS DAY 2023

The University, as its annual ritual, will commemorate World AIDS Day 2023. This year's theme, 'Let Communities Lead' will guide the conversations and activities that will be held. A Webinar has been organized on November 29, 2023 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

University of Nairobi Leadership Convenes in Mombasa for Strategic Retreat

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, In an effort to enhance collaboration between different organs and units of the university,  the top management of the University of Nairobi, led by Council Chair Prof. Amukowa Anangwe, has gathered in Mombasa for a three-day induction retreat. The primary objective of this session is to offer a comprehensive understanding of the university's operations and to encourage a collective approach to addressing challenges. Prof. Anangwe emphasized the importance of evaluating the strategies devised by the management to tackle the university's pain points.

FACULTY OF VET.MEDICINE TREE PLANTING EXERCISE TO HONOUR NATIONAL TREE PLANTING DAY

Monday 13th November 2023, the Faculty of Vet. Medicine honoured iniative by the government to plant 15bn trees by 2032 to tackle the climate crisis and deforestation amid worsening impacts such as a severe drought in the country and the wider Horn of Africa region.

The Event was flagged off by Prof. Mande, Dean FVM, Dr. Onono, Chairman PHPT and Vet.Farm Manager Mr. Augastine Raila.
