Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) Accredits Bsc. Food Nutrition and Dietetics Program at the University of Nairobi

The University of Nairobi (UoN) has been fully accredited to train students in BSc. Food Nutrition and Dietetics at the Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology. As a leading institution in Kenya and the region, UoN has been offering the program based on interim license. The Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) that is mandated by law as a professional organization to inspect and approve Nutrition and Dietetics Programs in Kenya in collaboration with Commission for University Education (CUE), carried out site inspection based on 11 key standards and the UoN surpassed the minimum requirements. On a virtual meeting held on March 9, 2021 the Vice Chancellor, Prof. SG Kiama received with acknowledgement the training license as delivered by the KNDI accreditation committee chairman, Dr. G Nguka and KNDI CEO, Dr. D Okeyo. The University is committed to continuous improvement of quality and shall strive to uphold scholarly excellence. The great work done by DFSNT staff led by the chairman, Dr. GO Abong’, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. M Nyangito and CAVS Principal, Prof. R Nyikal is highly acknowledged.
