PUBLIC AUCTION FOR ANIMALS

The University of Nairobi, Faculty of Agriculture hereby invites interested bidders for the sale of the under mentioned Animal(Tender Number: UON/DISPOSAL/10/2022-2023) at the Clinical Studies Department and the Vet Farm Section on  10th  November , 2022 at 10.00am through PUBLIC AUCTION:-

2. Viewing Dates: During working days from 3rd Nov , 2022 from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm until the auction day.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. The University and the Auctioneer shall not take any responsibility for the condition or state of the items purchased as each prospective bidder is expected to have viewed the items prior to the auction date.
2. The sale is on ‘as-is-where-is basis’.
3. Sale at the highest bidder in a public auction.
4. Sale shall be subject to reasonable reserve prices
5. Interested purchasers must obtain a bidding number for each Cow, Goat/Sheep and Unserviceable assets upon payment of a refundable deposit as indicated below:

 Ksh 5,000.00 per Cow

6. The successful bidder must pay 25% of the auction price at the fall of the hammer and the balance within 14 days from the date of auction.
7. Where the bid price is lower than the bidding fee, the bidder will be refunded the difference on presentation of original receipt. However, where the bid price is higher than the bidding fee, the bidder will be required to pay the balance within 14 days.
8. The successful bidder who fails to pay the balance of purchase price within 14 days shall forfeit the 25% deposit paid to The University of Nairobi.
9. Upon fully payment of the purchased items  the successful bidders can pick the items immediately 
10. All purchased items must be collected from The University of Nairobi premises, 21 days from the date of auction failure to which the University will surcharge Kshs1,000.00 per day to cover storage and other incidentals.
11. The deposit and the balance of the purchase price can be paid to , KCB BANK KENYA LTD, A/No: UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI, BRANCH- UNIVERSITY WAY, A/C: 1104698676. and a banking slip be submitted to the auctioneer
12. The Bankers Cheque  of Kshs 5,000.00 should be submitted to the auctioneer at least one hour before

 Auction time on 14/10/2022 i.e.by 10.00 am.
