FAO- FVM-UON PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATION

The Dean Facullty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), University of Nairobi, Chairman PHPT and other faculty staff members had a joint meeting with Prof Folorunso Fasina Country Team Leader Food and Agriculture Organisation-Kenya, Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseasesa (ECTAD-FAO) and his team from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO-Kenya) on Wednesday 18th January 2023.

OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY AND UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI COLLABORATION ON GLOBAL ONE HEALTH INITIATIVE (GOHI) RESEARCH

The Department of PHPT Chairman Dr. Joshua Onono and PHPT staff members together with  Prof. Wondwossen A. Gebreyes, Executive Director of Global One Health Initiative (GoHi) and his team from Ohio State University held a meeting, to review the collaboration between PHPT and Ohio State University on Global  one Health Research and Capacity building for postgraduate students and staff members.

BSC.FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE MANAGEMENT FINALISTS

The 4th Year BSc.Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Out-going class took a photo with the Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Chairman of Department Prof J. Maina with their lecturers Dr. R.C. Bette and CMs. C. Onura after their last examination on Wednesday 17/05/2023 after intensive training of four years.

Dr. Lance O’Brien(CSARIDE Project Coordinator), Kahsay Negash(CSARIDE Project Manager), Prof Woldeamlak Araia- Dean, Hamelmalo Agricultural College visited the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to follow up on the progress of the Eritrea students who are doing various Master program. They Met the Dean, Faculty of Vet Medicine Prof. D. Mande, Dr. R. C Bett(Co-ordinator of Eritrea Students), Prof C. K Gachuiri(Animal Nutrition), Dr. Onono(Chairman Pharmacology, Public Health, and Toxicology Dept).
