Beyond the Lab: University of Nairobi's Groundbreaking Research Delivers Real-World Solutions at the Kenya National Research Festival 2025!

The University of Nairobi (UoN), through the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Enterprise), participated in the Kenya National Research Festival 2025. The festival, held from August 18th to 22nd at Egerton University, Njoro Campus, brought together dynamic minds and transformative innovations from across Kenya and beyond.

FACULTY OF VET. MEDICINE EMERGED 3RD IN THE FACULTIES PERFORMANCE RECOGNITION & AWARDS

In the recent concluded signing of 2023/2024 Performance contracts and the celebration of 2022/2023 performance recognition and awards which was held in Taifa Hall on Monday, 27th November 2023, The Faculty of Vet. Medicine emerged position 3 with a score of 2.6332 in all the 10 faculties.

The Vice chancellor presented the Certificate and the trophy to Prof. J.D Mande, Dean Faculty of Vet. Medicine for the exemplary performance.

WEBINAR TO COMMEMORATE WORLD AIDS DAY 2023

The University, as its annual ritual, will commemorate World AIDS Day 2023. This year's theme, 'Let Communities Lead' will guide the conversations and activities that will be held. A Webinar has been organized on November 29, 2023 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE 2023

 The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nairobi, will hold its Annual International Conference during the University of Nairobi’s 2023 Research Week. The theme of this Conference is: “Harnessing Research in Veterinary Science for Resilience and Sustainability of Communities”. Research within animal science must largely focus on supporting human development, which is constantly threatened by major factors such as climate change, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging and re-emerging diseases.

A return to in-person celebrations during 69th graduation

After a hiatus of three years marked by virtual and hybrid ceremonies, the University of Nairobi is all set to celebrate its 69th graduation ceremony in person. Graduands who have been eagerly anticipating their turn to don the cap and gown are in for a remarkable celebration. 

Call for papers: International Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Scientific Conference (2023)

The University of Nairobi Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting the Annual International Conference on Veterinary Science (2023). With the theme "Harnessing Research in Veterinary Science for Resilience and Sustainability of Communities," this conference aims to gather experts from various fields to share best practices and the latest advancements in Veterinary Science.

QUEEN ELIZABETH SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM TO UoN STUDENTS

The University of Nairobi students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) have benefited from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarships (QES) Program from Canada. This was revealed during a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor by a delegation from Rideau Hall Foundation, Universities Canada and the University of the Frazer Valley all from Canada, on Thursday, May 6, 2023.
