FLEMING FUND AND MOTT McDonald TEAM Visit
The Dean Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), University of Nairobi, Acting Chairman
Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology (VPMP), and other faculty
members had a joint meeting with Professor Stanley Fenwick, One health/ animal health
Technical lead Fleming fund Management Agent and his team from Mott McDonald on 14th
June 2023. This was a physical site visit of the VPMP Microbiology laboratory and an
assessment of the performance of Phase 1 in-country Fleming fund grant. The team also
discussed challenges and positive experiences during the implementation of the grant as well as
various ways of collaborating and improving Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance in the
next phase in Kenya.
