Prof. Jackson Ombui, the Ag. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 gave an address to 2026/2027 first year students on in the Large Lecture Theatre, Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, Chiromo Campus.
The Faculty Dean, Jackson Ombui was accompanied by the Associate Dean Prof. Samuel Maina Githigia and Chairmen of the 5 Departments, Chairman Department of Biochemistry (Service Department), the Faculty Registrar, Governor (UNSA) Upper Kabete Campus, Chairman of Veterinary Students Association (VSA), Chairman Wildlife Students Association (WSA) and non teaching staff.
First years Students comprised those in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) Programme, BSc. in Wildlife Management & Conservation and Post Graduate Programmes.
The Dean took advantage of the meeting and sensitized the freshers on: Students Code of Conduct, Teaching and Examination Policies, Service delivery and customer care services, Complaints handling mechanisms, Governance structure of the Faculty, Students leadership, Government policy on National Values and Principles of governance, Gender issues, Career Guidance, HIV AIDS Issues and Personal care, Security matters, Corruption and integrity issues, , Time management and Planning and other social issues.
