Our faculty was visited by Prof. Marcy Souza and Dr. Misty Bailey from University of Tenessee College of Veterinary Medicine on 21st June,2023. Prof. souza is the associate Dean office for outreach and global engagement, while Dr. Misty is an assistant professor of Practice and curriculum and assessment coordinator.
Both Prof. Souza and Dr. Misty gave feedback to the faculty through the Dean of the USDA Faculty Exchange Fellowship that Hosted Dr. John Kimani and Dr. Judith Atela at University of Tennessee. They also gave a brief of Animal Health Governance and Policy workshop that was held in ILRI on 22nd and 23rd June,2023.
During the meeting the Dean,FVM,UON gave a brief history of the faculty and the current standing. The meeting which included other members of the faculty, also in attendance the associate dean, deliberated on a few issues of mutual benefits to the two institutions including and not limited to Students and staff exchange, partnering in workshops and conferences and research collaborations.
