UON SHINES AT THE NAIROBI INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR 2023

The University of Nairobi scooped 7 trophies and many prize certificates at this year’s Nairobi International Trade Fair 2023 (NITF). The University was crowned number 1 in the category of the Best Stand that interpretes the current show theme (Education and Research), The Best stand in Youth Activities, Empowerment and Capacity Building. The University was position 2 in the Best University Stand and The Best stand embracing ICT systems.

The other 3 trophies were for Farm and Dairy Section, Poultry Section and Rabbits Section.

Official opening of the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies

Nairobi, Kenya, 28 August 2023 – The Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry who was representing the President formally opened the Wangari Maathai Institute (WMI) for Peace and Environmental Studies at Upper Kabete Campus, the University of Nairobi.

A return to in-person celebrations during 69th graduation

Uon collaborates with Elgon Kenya to establish agricultural-tech centre

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with Elgon Kenya Ltd marked the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the first of its kind, Kantaria Agricultural Technology and Innovation Centre (KATIC), at the upper Kabete Campus, Faculty of Agriculture. The collaboration addresses the need for enhanced innovation, mentorship and commercialization of innovative technologies and ideas in the agricultural sector, commercial success and to accelerate uptake of technology and innovations along the agricultural value chains.

QUEEN ELIZABETH SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM TO UoN STUDENTS

The University of Nairobi students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) have benefited from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarships (QES) Program from Canada.
